For some reason, (and in saying this I’m sure I know exactly why) I’ve been thinking about marriage a lot lately. Its weird. It kinda sucks. Cause its something I don’t think is gonna happen for some years so I don’t want it to be on my mind at all in my period of singleness. It seems like everywhere I go there’s talk about an engagement or somebodies just began dating or something like that. Its everywhere. I really wish sometimes that I could just sit in a singleness bubble and not have to fight off temptation to lust after marriage. I understand that marriage is beautiful, but I also understand that people can become obsessed with it and for the wrong reasons. I don’t want to fall into that mess. Anywhooo…I’m growing closer with God and praying to him that he’d become my everything and that includes husband too. I want to wait patiently and purposefully for my earthly husband if and when God chooses to give me one.

Aside from that lol, today was great. Went to the CMNS (computer mathematics and natural sciences) graduation ceremony today. It was super inspirational as those things always are. It made me want to get better grades and care a little more about school. I mean I do okay now, but I’m about ready to get my first 4.0 in college. So far I’ve received 3 grades out of 5 for this semester and they’re all A’s. but 1 is an A- which sucks cause at UMD an A- is not a 4 its a 3.7. I really want to push myself to get straight A’s next year. I think It’d be really cool to graduate after having put in a lot of hard work to get a 4.0. That’s what graduation always reminds me of, the great satisfaction you feel after working really hard for something and accomplishing it.

Going to the CMNS graduation made me question my life choices to be an English major Spanish minor. While hearing each PhD dissertation I was calculating in my head how much money each person was probably going to make. LOL silly right? Yeah, I kinda have “college major insecurities” at times. Not really, just sometimes. Like when CMNS majors try to make you feel like you don’t really have to work hard or in someways you aren’t really a true UMD student. smh. I hate that. Anyways, at some point while they were calling all the names I started talking to Deanne and shes about to go to grad school in NY for education. We had a convo about education and I was immediately reminded and reassured as to why I’m pursuing the path that I am. I love education and I want to make a difference in that way.

College is stupid like that. It makes you feel like only CMNS, Engineering and Business majors are gonna “make it” but its a lie. I have God and hes the one who controls my future. That is a truth I must hold tight to. That God will provide and he will make a way.

Aww man I can’t wait to go to Guate!!!! I wish I could go in the morning. LOL but no really. Im so excited for what God has for me there. I dont even know what to expect but I’m confident its going to be an amazing trip. Today I went to church with Joy and it was a bilingual service which was realy cool. I was paying really close attention to the Spanish translator and actually picked up on a lot of what he was saying. I was like OHYEAAA GUATE HERE I COME!!! in my head ofcourse, cause you know I couldn’t say that in church. casue I’m not a spazzz. I actually know somebody named Spazz and the fact that thats his name makes me uncomfortable. LOL but no really.

I wish I could write more but I’m tired. Or like I just feel like laying down and maybe reading something good. I havent really found a good laying down and blogging position yet. When I do I’ll probably spend more time rapping on here.

Today was the first official day of summer. Or at least it felt like it. I had about 7 people in and out of my apartment and it was great lol. I love being around company I love. Lol I am so blessed. I got the opportunity to serve my friends. God had been so good to me in blessing me with every single thing I’ve asked for. Prayer yesterday was on another level. It was a different group of girls and at the end we did like a prayer circle. I felt the spirit moving and God was pleased. Today I went to the greenhouse to pick up more flowers for mommy. I went with Danae and Dianna and they got plants for theirs moms too. Then I went to roti and that was not only delicious but it was a unique experience. We got to pray for a couple of homeless men and give them some food. The interesting thing about it was that it felt so natural. It felt like something so regular like after it none of us talked about it. It was just like this is what we do as believers. We love, we give we pray. Lol it was awesome God, I thank you so much for the experience. I’m gonna blog everyday this summer lol. I know it’s a lot. But my blog is dry and I need to spice it up, especially when I go to Guate, I need to write everyday. I know I’m gonna meet so many great ppl there and throughout this entire summer in Genereal. I’m excited! Peace love and blessings

Today was long. It was my cousins graduation party from UMES. I woke up at like 8am and got straight to work. Had to clean the chairs outside peel the plantain and some other random errands. He had a nice party though and that’s really what matters at the end of the day. My cousin told me today that I need to watch out for being kidnapped while in Guatemala. I didn’t get scared. I told him okay and then just continued conversation. I’m not worried about that. God is with me in Guatemala and I’m gonna be okay. I’ve already spent months being worried about this trip and I’ve already felt the peace of God telling me to go.

Today I got to meet my sisters boyfriend. He came to the cookout. He was pretty cool, pretty funny and understood my sarcastic humor. Lol but no really. I also talked to Gil today. I saw him yesterday at the graduation. That was really unexpected. I just want to read my word tonight and sleep and wake up and go to church. I’m tired and I’m ready to go home.
